The Department of Electrical Engineering and Superconducting Technologies conducts teaching activities in the broad field of electrical engineering, superconducting technologies, measurement techniques, power engineering, automation, electronics, and modern technologies used in electrical engineering.

Classes delivered by the Department’s academic staff include lectures, tutorials, project classes, laboratory classes, and diploma seminars. Particular emphasis is placed on combining theoretical knowledge with practical engineering skills. Students have the opportunity to work at laboratory stations and use measuring equipment, specialist software, and teaching materials prepared by academic teachers.

The teaching process covers, among others, issues related to the fundamentals of electrical engineering, electrical measurements, electrical devices and installations, power supply systems, high-voltage technologies, plasma applications, diagnostics of electrical systems, modelling and simulation of electromagnetic phenomena, and selected aspects of superconducting technologies.

The Department actively supports students in preparing engineering and master’s theses, research projects, individual assignments, and activities within student scientific clubs. The topics of diploma theses are related to current development trends in electrical engineering, power engineering, material technologies, measurement automation, and the application of modern computational tools.

An important element of education is the development of practical competencies, engineering independence, and the ability to solve technical problems. Thanks to access to teaching and laboratory infrastructure, students gain experience useful both in further scientific work and in their future professional careers in the industrial, energy, research and development, and design sectors.

The Department’s teaching activities are aimed at preparing graduates for the conscious and responsible use of technical knowledge, modern measurement methods, design tools, and technologies applied in contemporary electrical engineering.
