Dr hab. inż. Michał Majka, university professor, obtained the title of electrician engineer in the specialty of electromagnetic devices and technologies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology in 2002. He began his professional career immediately after obtaining the title of engineer, dealing with, among others design and costing electrical, teletechnical, air conditioning and control and measuring automation in large industrial facilities. He obtained the professional title of Master of Electrical Engineer in the field of Engineering Applications of Computer Science in 2005 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology. In the years 2005-2009 he underwent doctoral studies conducted at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology. He started his scientific work in 2006 in the Lublin Laboratory of Superconducting Technology of the Institute of Electrical Engineering. He obtained the degree of doctorate in technical sciences in the Discipline of Electrical Engineering in 2011 at the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Warsaw, the degree of habilitated doctor in the field of engineering and technical sciences in the discipline: automation, electronics and electrical engineering in 2019 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. In the 2020/2021 academic year, he completed two-semester postgraduate studies "Public Procurement" at the School of Entrepreneurship and Administration and obtained a Prince2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management certificate.

In the years 2006-2020 he was an employee of the Department of the Great Power of the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Warsaw, currently included in the Łukasiewicz research network. Since 2014, he has been conducting didactic classes at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology, and from 2016 he has been an employee of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Electrical Sciences Department of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology.

Scientific interests of dr hab. inż. Michał Majka concerns the numerical modelling of electrical devices and the use of superconductors in strong-current devices. Published scientific works relate to superconductor power limiters, transformers, superconductor energy containers, superconductor tape tests, current culverts and low-power superconductor generators. Dr hab. inż. Michał Majka is the author of 75 scientific articles, 3 monographs and 24 unpublished documentations of research and two 2 patents. According to the Web of Science database, the above works were cited 311 times, and the Hirsch index was 13. He was the main contractor for 9 research projects financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, NCN, NCB and NFOSIGW implemented both at the Lublin University of Technology and the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Warsaw. Currently implements 2 research projects financed by the NCN and NCBiR. He was an auxiliary promoter in one completed doctoral dissertation.

Dr hab. inż. Michał Majka is a member of the European Society for Applied Superconductivity ESAS since 2015, the Lublin Scientific Society from 2017, the Polish Society of Theoretical Electrical Electrical Engineering and PTETIS since 2014, the Association of Polish Electricians from 2014, a member of the Organisational Committee of the International ELMECO Conference since 2014.

Dr hab. inż. Paweł Komada, university professor, was born on July 16, 1975 in Krasnystaw. In this city he attended Primary School No. 4 and the Władysław Jagiełło High School, which he graduated from in 1994. Then he studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology in the field of electrical engineering, specialising in the processing and use of electricity, as well as fibre optic technology, which he completed in 1999. In that year he also completed post-graduate studies in fibre-optic telecommunication at this department. After graduating, he started working at the Lublin University of Technology at the Electronics Department as an assistant. In April 2007, after defending at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the LUT his PhD thesis on The optoelectronic method of carbon monoxide detection (supervisor: Prof. W. Wójcik), he was employed as an adjunct. In March 2020, the Council of Scientific Discipline for Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy of the Lublin University of Technology awarded him the degree of habilitated doctor in the field of engineering and technical sciences, based on his scientific contribution to the "Analysis of the thermal process of biomass processing".

Dr hab. inż. Paweł Komada’s scientific and research work mainly concerns the use of optical methods in the analysis of conventional fuel combustion processes, co-firing with biomass and thermal biomass processing. He also conducts activities in the field of study and analysis of absorption and emission spectra, the use of fibre optic signals of the flame monitoring system in diagnostic systems and combustion process control, optical instruments and measuring methods.

Paweł Komada has performed a number of organisational functions, including Deputy General Affairs Director of the Institute of Electronics and Information Techniques at the LUT (2012-2019), member of the Centre for the Eastern Partnership Programme at the LUT (from 2016), Secretary of the Faculty (2006-2012) and the University Recruitment Commission (from 2013), Member of the Council of the Faculty of EE&CS at the LUT (2008-2019), member of the Programme Council for Information Technology (from 2012), member of the Faculty Commission for Education in the Field of Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics (from 2012) and Biomedical Engineering (from 2016), Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the State Upper Vocational School in Chełm (2008-2017).
He was secretary and is currently editor-in-chief of the IAPGOŚ magazine ‘IT, Automation, Measurements in the Economy and Environmental Protection’.

He was awarded many times for his activities by the Rector of the LUT and of the SUVS in Chełm, as well as the Silver (2010) and the Golden Cross of Merit (2018).

Dr Edyta Łukasik graduated from mathematics, specialising in numerical methods and programming, at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. She did her doctorate at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of the MCS University in Lublin in 2007. Dr Edyta Łukasik has been employed at the Lublin University of Technology since 1998 in the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. First as an assistant, then an adjunct, and now as a didactic adjunct at the Department of Computer Science and Computer Modelling.

For over 20 years, he has been conducting laboratory classes and lectures on the following subjects: Programming in C, C++, Python, algorithms and data structures, numerical methods, programming in Objective-C and mobile applications in iOS. He also conducts classes for students on foreign exchange as part of the Erasmus project in the subject of Numerical Methods.

Currently, her scientific interests are brought together around three-dimensional data of movement, biomechanical analysis and neural networks. For several years, she has been scientifically working at the Laboratory of Movement Acquisition and Interface Ergonomy, equipped in the Vicon Motion Capture System. She is a promoter of over 60 engineering and master's theses, and co-author of four academic textbooks and over 90 scientific and didactic articles.

She has experience in writing and implementing EU projects. She was the head of the POKL "Mega competent Computer Science graduate of the Lublin University of Technology closer to the requirements of employers", carried out from November 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015.
