On 15 July 1978, after completing his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Lublin University of Technology, he took up employment as a trainee assistant at the Division of Power Engineering. From 1 October 1978, he began doctoral studies at the Warsaw University of Technology in the Division of Power Plants and Energy Economics under the supervision of Professor Ryszard Matla. After completing his doctoral studies, he took up work in the Department of Power Engineering at Lublin University of Technology: initially as an assistant, from 1986 as a senior assistant, and then – from 1988, after defending his doctoral dissertation – as an assistant professor. In the years 1989–1990, he served as deputy head of the Department. He worked in the Department of Power Plants and Energy Economics established in 1990 after the reorganisation of the University’s structure, and from 2007 in the Department of Energy and Electrochemistry, including from 2008 in the position of specialist. Since 1 October 2012, he has been employed in the Department of Electrical Networks and Protections as a senior lecturer.
Since 2007, I have been employed as a senior lecturer at the State School of Higher Education in Chełm. In the years 1994–1995, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Kraśnik Thermal Energy Company Ltd. in Kraśnik.
Since 2010, he has served as chairman of the SEP Branch Circle at Lublin University of Technology and as a member of the Board of the Lublin Branch of SEP.
During his work at Lublin University of Technology so far, he has also performed additional organisational functions: disciplinary spokesman for students in the years 1993–1996, member of the Faculty Council – 1993–2002, member of the Faculty Council Science Committee – 1993–1996, member of the Faculty Council Committee for Study Programmes – 1996–1999.
He has more than fifty scientific studies published in the proceedings of international conferences (United Kingdom, Sweden), national scientific journals, and university scientific journals to his credit. In addition to works of a scientific nature, he participated in many research works commissioned by industry. He also participated in KBN scientific grants. In the years 1992–1994, he also participated in and managed commissioned works, among others, for the Kraśnik Thermal Energy Company and the Lublin Thermal Energy Company in Lublin, as well as PE Siedlce. He is a specialist of the NOT Technical Services Department, a member of the Board and a lecturer of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.
