Department of Power Engineering

The Department of Power Engineering was established in 1991 as a result of the reorganisation of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Lublin University of Technology. Until July 2019, it operated under the name of the Department of Electrical Networks and Security.
The issues of research tasks carried out in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering result mainly from cooperation with units of the energy sector. It covers the issues of modelling power grids, analysis and optimisation of their states, assessment of reliability and safety of use as well as energy quality.

he head of the Department is prof. dr hab. inż. Piotr Kacejko.
