From 17 to 19 March 2026, the Scientific and Technical Conference “Power System: Operational and Market Security” (SEBOR’26) was held in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River. The event continued the long-standing conference series “Electricity Market”, organized since 1994.

SEBOR’26 brought together representatives of the academic community, the power sector, public institutions, and the energy market. The conference serves as an important forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience related to the operation of the power system, operational security, as well as market and regulatory conditions.

The conference programme covered, among other topics, the energy market and energy law, the integration of renewable energy sources, energy storage, system balancing, the operational security of the National Power System, and the transformation of the power sector. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Climate and Environment, and the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, while its programme partners included, among others, PSE S.A. and ARE S.A.

We would like to thank all participants, speakers, and organisers for their presence, insightful discussions, and contribution to the success of the event. We are pleased that the staff of our Department of Power Engineering had the opportunity to co-organise a conference devoted to such important issues as the security and development of the modern power sector.
