Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT) was founded on the philosophy of “Human Development – Technological Innovation – Academic–Industry Collaboration.” It originated from the Hokuriku Radio School established in 1957 and was transformed into a technical university in 1965. Currently, the university consists of four faculties: the Faculty of Engineering; the Faculty of Information Science and Social Systems; the Faculty of Environment and Architecture; and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Chemistry, as well as two graduate schools: Engineering and Psychology. The university conducts its educational and research activities across three campuses: Ogigaoka in Nonoichi, Ishikawa Prefecture; Yatsukaho in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture; and Tokyo Toranomon in Minato, Tokyo.
