Study visit to Japan

17.12.2025

As part of the implementation of the project aimed at developing international scientific cooperation, a study visit to Japan was organized on 9–18 December 2025, combined with a conference meeting inaugurating the project activities (kick-off meeting). The event was attended by representatives of Polish and Japanese academic institutions. The Polish side was represented by 18 members from Lublin University of Technology, as well as two representatives each from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. The Japanese partners were represented by researchers from Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Kyushu University, and Saga University (participating remotely), as well as approximately fifty students and staff members from Seikei University. The first part of the visit consisted of a five-day study program including an intensive educational component addressed to students of the partner university. Staff members from Lublin University of Technology delivered a series of lectures in English covering topics such as the generation and applications of cold plasma, renewable energy sources, modern energy systems, superconductivity, nanocomposites, intelligent technologies, and sensor and monitoring systems. During the visit, participants also became familiar with the research infrastructure of Seikei University, including selected institutes and research centers as well as the modern university library. The program also included
a visit to Mitsubishi, which provided insight into the relationship between academia and industry in Japan.

The culmination of the event was a two-day scientific seminar featuring presentations of research achievements, poster sessions, and discussions on future research collaboration. The meeting enabled the identification of common research areas and the establishment of principles for further cooperation, including the planning of joint research projects, access to research infrastructure, and the dissemination of research results.
