Department of Electrical Engineering and Superconducting Technologies

Department of Electrical Engineering and Superconducting Technologies (KETN) is a research and teaching unit of Lublin University of Technology, conducting interdisciplinary research and development activities in the fields of modern electrical engineering, superconducting technologies, plasma technologies, and materials engineering.

UNIT PROFILE

• conducting fundamental and applied research in electrical engineering and advanced technologies
• design, construction, and testing of prototypes of electrical and power engineering devices and systems
• integration of electrical engineering solutions with energy systems, environmental engineering, and medicine
• application of numerical modeling, diagnostics, and experimental methods in laboratory research
• cooperation with scientific institutions and industrial partners in Poland and abroad

RESEARCH AREAS

The Department’s activities cover topics related to:

• superconducting technologies and cryogenic systems
• non-thermal plasma reactors and plasma-chemical processes
• high-voltage engineering, electromagnetism, and electromagnetic compatibility
• nanomaterials and functional materials
• modeling, automation, metrology, and diagnostics of power engineering systems
• applications of electrical engineering in environmental engineering and medical technologies

SCIENTIFIC AND TEACHING ACTIVITY

The Department carries out research and implementation projects whose results are published in international scientific journals and presented at national and international conferences. At the same time, the unit actively participates in the education of engineers, master’s students, and doctoral candidates, combining the long-standing tradition of electrical engineering with modern research directions.
